Dr. Moore is a seasoned psychotherapist, having over 35 years of experience in treating anxiety, depression, family problems, couple issues and a host of other mental health related issues. He specializes in treating Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD), Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Traumatic Brain Injuries and Addictions. Traumatic events such as military conflicts/combat, domestic violence, natural disasters, motor vehicle accidents, abuse and other situations may cause panic attacks, general anxiety, depression, feelings of helplessness or hopelessness, emotional numbing and fear of attachments. 70 % of those who are diagnosed with PTSD also have a problem with addictive behaviors such as alcoholism, substance dependence and sexual addiction. This Practice is about transforming difficult life circumstances into a manageable lifestyle through positive and creative treatment methods such as EMDR, Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, Psycho-dynamic attunement, cognitive-behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Couples counseling, family therapy and group psychotherapy.
David B Moore PhD PSC is a neurobehavioral treatment program which utilizes Biofeedback and Neurofeedback methods as adjunct tools to diagnose and treat neurobehavioral disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Tourette’s Disorder, Tics, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Addictions. These tools include a Quantitative Electroencephalograph Evaluation (qEEG), Continuous Performance Tests, Structured Clinical Interviews, and Psychophysiological Assessments. Biofeedback and Neurofeedback are specialty tools utilized in Operant Conditioning to assist in the healing process.
For over 30 years Dr. Moore has been working with children, adolescents, adults and families who are struggling with an array of stressors and challenges in their lives. He is determined to focus on helping clients produce measurable changes in their lives and paths to success and healing. As a psychotherapist with advanced certification in neurofeedback, he specializes in emerging brain-based research, educational interventions and clinical approaches into a comprehensive approach to treatment. He provides a comprehensive approach to treatment by combining psychotherapy with state of the art brain-based therapy to treat ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, behavioral issues and addiction. These methods and approaches have also had a remarkable impact on treating other brain issues such as seizure disorders and mild traumatic brain injuries.
Some of the assessments and interventions provided include: QEEG assessment, neurofeedback, HRV biofeedback, temperature biofeedback, alpha-stim/CES, AVS, social skill training and working memory training. As a licensed psychotherapist and counselor, he teaches couples and families how to communicate and find balance in a very fast paced and busy world.
